29-year old lefty swinging catcher Joe Mauer has been selected as a reserve for the All-Star Team. He has played in 71 games for the Twins so far this year and he is 85 for 260 (.327 avg, .863 OPS) with 39 runs scored, 4 homers, 37 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. This will be Mauer’s fifth All-Star Game so far in his career. The Twins are elated that Joe Mauer is back to his pre-injury form.
